A Holistic practitioner is conscious of clients in their totality; they take an integrative approach to healing the BODY. Their work takes them into the multiple dimensions of human experience; the physical, social, spiritual and psychological.
Modern Medicine is incredible for its diagnostic tools, however, it is not entirely sufficient for a WHOLE view for healing the physical body. ANCIENT medicine approaches dis-ease with the understanding that the physical body, mental body and emotional body are all connected and work together tor vitality and well-being, it further recognises that the spiritual connection of a person is required to bring total healing or recovery to the physical body.
A Holistic practitioners role does not replace that of a medical professional, it serves to include it where necessary. To be a metaphysical practitioner requires special skills to manage emotional states with an ability to discern the difference between meta-physical health services, natural health services or medical health services. For this reason, students are incubated in a three-year student skills support program that meets Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements (CPD is a term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities.
